It is pretty easy to spot the difference between a talented ball player who is also a good person and a talented ballplayer who is disrespectful. In my personal opinion it is more important for an athlete to be decent on the field and an amazing person off the field than impressive on the field and a terrible person off the field. Matt Harvey is a perfect example of this. He posted impressive stats throughout his career and nearly won the Mets a world series. Nearly. He only nearly won it because he was too cocky and begged Terry Collins to keep him in the game. Harvey would later blow the lead and the team's chance at the trophy. And that is just a minor portion of the problems Harvey has caused for the Mets. Recently Harvey was suspended for three games without pay due to not being in attendance at his teams' game. Frankly this is very disappointing from an ace. Aaron Nola on the other hand is only 23 years old, has decent numbers and even in high school he had begun volunteering at Habitats for Humanity.
